Arborist - Council Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Arborist to join a council's Arboriculture team on a temporary assignment.
This is a hands-on role responsible for the maintenance and care of trees and streetscapes across parks, reserves, and sporting grounds.
Position Details
Position Title: Arborist
Classification/Salary: ME 5 or ME 6 (based on experience)
Duration: 6-8 weeks (with potential extension)
Division: Trees and Irrigation
Key Responsibilities
Tree maintenance, pruning, and removal
Planting and root pruning
General landscaping across public spaces
Operating specialised arboriculture equipment
Interpreting work plans and schedules
Maintaining accurate records
Essential Requirements
MR Truck Licence
Chainsaw certification
White Card
Proven experience working at heights
Experience operating arboriculture machinery
Robust teamwork and communication skills
Desirable
EWP Licence
Electrotechnology certification
Arboriculture qualifications/experience
Work Hours
First Day Start:
8:30 AM
Regular Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
