About the role:

We are seeking to add an experienced Carpenter to our property team on a permanent fulltime basis; someone who takes pride in their work and has a great attention to detail.

This position will undertake planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, construction, alteration, refurbishment and renewal work across Council's property portfolio including Council offices, residential properties, community and commercial facilities, amenities, depots and recreational assets. T he Carpenter delivers practical, safe and cost-effective building maintenance outcomes, identifies emerging property condition issues, and helps ensure Council’s facilities remain protected, functional and fit for purpose.

Candidates will require avalid Class C driver’s license and a WHS Construction Induction Card.

About you:

- Certificate III in Carpentry or relevant trade qualification.
- The ability to undertake planned and reactive maintenance in a timely fashion.
- Experience undertaking identifying maintenance and property condition issues.
- Experience coordinating repairs, contractors and other tradespeople.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep on top of multiple properties, deadlines and competing priorities.
- Good judgement and the confidence to resolve routine matters independently while recognising when something needs to be escalated.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally with occupants, contractors and other stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and positive documentation skills including maintaining computer-based records.




- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a broader Property Services team.
- A current C class driver licence and Construction White Card.
- Salary from $71,432.76 to $87,177.60 p.a., depending on skills and experience. [$36.15 - 44.12 per hour]
- 5 weeks annual leave each year.
