About the opportunity

NSW Health Pathology is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic leader to manage the Administration Team within the Department of Haematology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The Department of Haematology is recognised as a leader in clinical care, laboratory services, and research across both malignant and non-malignant haematological disorders.

Based within Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, the department provides high-quality clinical care and support to a large and diverse patient population within a busy and dynamic healthcare setting.The department delivers a comprehensive range of specialised services, including the care of patients with haemophilia, thalassaemia, stem cell transplantation, CAR-T therapy, and apheresis, supporting patients with a broad spectrum of malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions.

What you’ll be doing

Lead and coordinate the administrative functions of the Haematology Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused administrative services. The role provides executive support to department leadership, oversees office management functions, and leads the administrative team to support clinical, operational,



and strategic objectives.

Requirements

- Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks, exercising independent judgement, discretion and initiative, prioritising work and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to determine priorities for others, coordinate allocation of tasks, coach and mentor work performance of staff to achieve service/unit objectives
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving, conflict resolution and risk management
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to providing quality customer-focused service and applying quality improvement initiatives to workplace practices and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of computer hardware,



Microsoft software applications and electronic systems to complete work activities.
