Barker College is currently seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Junior School Pre-Kindergarten Teacher’s Aide located at the Hornsby Campus.
This will be a Fixed Term, Full-Time (1.0FTE) role to commence on 12 October 2026 (Term 4, 2026) to 31 December 2027 to provide parental leave cover.
Support teachers and students in a vibrant Junior School environment. This hands‑on role involves assisting with classroom activities, small‑group learning support, student wellbeing, playground supervision and co‑curricular programs. Working collaboratively with teaching staff, you will help create engaging learning experiences while contributing to a positive and supportive school culture. Ideal for an enthusiastic, organised and flexible team member who enjoys working with children and values professional growth.
All Junior Staff Teachers’ Aides are also required to participate in playground supervision and the school’s cocurricular program.
The School is an authorised International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) World School offering the Primary Years Program with a focus on Inquiry Learning from Pre‑Kindergarten to Year 6.

- Initiative and strong work ethic;
- Confidence and expertise in the use of ICT;

Prior experience as a Teachers’ aide in a primary school context will be an advantage along with a certificate in children’s services.
