Applications Analyst - Business & Patient Systems

About the Role
We're looking for an Applications Analyst to join our Hospital Applications Support team, reporting to the Business Systems Manager. This is a broad, hands-on role covering both patient administration and clinical systems and core business applications. You'll be the go-to person for troubleshooting, testing, implementing and improving the systems our hospitals rely on, while also supporting funding contract loading and operational reporting.
What You’ll Do
Triage, prioritise and resolve incidents, requests and problems within agreed SLAs, consulting with the business on application use and requirements
Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and liaise with software vendors to log, elevate and follow up fixes
Maintain application test scripts, and lead testing, documentation and release of software fixes and upgrades
Participate in project work including software installation, configuration and training, and maintain standardised system configuration (e.g. WebPAS)
Deliver training to end users across IT and hospital teams
Prepare and load funding contracts, prosthetic items and private practice fees in line with agreed dates, and maintain the GL interface to Business Central
Analyse and provide data for hospital operational, financial and management reporting, including End of Year Financial and Health Department reporting
What You’ll Bring
Minimum 5 years' experience working with Business Applications and/or Patient Administration Systems
Experience with SQL Server
Experience in supporting 1 or more of the following applications: WebPAS, Episoft eAdmissions, MS Business Central, UKG Ready & UKG Pro/Dimensions, K2 or similar applications
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (desirable)
Strong diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a logical and methodical approach
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise submissions
