The Role
We are seeking a skilled Workshop Supervisor (Electrical) to oversee our manufacturing operations in Woodridge, Queensland. This permanent, full-time role will be responsible for leading and supervising electrical and mechanical assembly activities within the workshop and managing installation teams during site-based works.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the electrical workshop, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal productivity.
- Implement and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and work practices to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare reports on workshop performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Selection Criteria
- Electrical Cert or equivalent qualification relevant
- Cert IV in leadership and management or equivalent supervisory training (desirable)
- Experience with PLC-based control systems and instrumentation (desirable)
- High Risk Work Licence (desirable)
- Previous experience within the water treatment industry is highly regarded (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions.
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using workshop management software and tools.
