Fowler Hire is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality hoist services to our clients. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and hoist equipment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring our clients receive reliable and safe hoist solutions, contributing directly to Fowler Hire's reputation for excellence in the trades and services industry.

Key responsibilities

- Installing, testing, and commissioning hoist electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant Australian standards and regulations
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and malfunctions on a range of hoist equipment and installations
- Performing routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Conducting electrical safety inspections and testing procedures
- Liaising with clients to understand their electrical requirements and provide professional advice
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed, including documentation and reports
- Ensuring all work is completed safely
- Complying with all health and safety regulations and company policies on job sites

What we're looking for

- A valid and current electrical licence (NSW) demonstrating competency as an Electrical Technician
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Technician or in a similar electrical trade role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation practices
- Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment




- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
- A solid understanding of relevant Australian electrical codes and safety standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
- A commitment to health and safety on the job site
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to work
- A valid driver's licence is desirable for travel to various job sites
