We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacy Lab Technician to join the team at Customised Compounding in Dural, NSW. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst contributing to our commitment to delivering high-quality, customised pharmaceutical solutions to our patients and healthcare partners. As a Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in the compounding and preparation of bespoke medications, ensuring absolute precision, safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards. This position is based on-site at our Dural facility.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and compound medications according to prescriptions and formulations using appropriate techniques and equipment

Measure, mix, and combine pharmaceutical ingredients with precision and accuracy

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all compounding activities, ingredients used, and batch information

Operate and maintain compounding equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and functioning correctly

Perform quality control checks on compounded medications to ensure they meet established standards and specifications

Follow strict aseptic and non-aseptic compounding techniques in compliance with regulatory requirements

Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Support the pharmacy team with general laboratory duties and stock management

Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment

Assist in the development and implementation of compounding procedures and protocols

What we're looking for

Previous experience working in a compounding pharmacy or pharmaceutical laboratory environment

Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding techniques

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions and standard operating procedures

Proficiency with pharmaceutical equipment and laboratory instruments

Sound understanding of pharmaceutical calculations and measurements





Knowledge of pharmacy legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to compounding pharmacies in Australia

Strong organisational and record-keeping skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly

A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety
