We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to join our People & Culture team in a full-time position, supporting employees and managers across a growing, multi-site organisation.
This is a hands‑on HR role suited to someone who has experience across the employee lifecycle and is confident providing practical HR support on a range of employee and workplace matters.
About the Role
As HR Coordinator, you will work closely with managers, employees and the wider People & Culture team across a broad range of HR activities, including:
- Providing day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees
- Supporting employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, attendance and workplace issues
- Assisting managers with probation and performance review processes
- Providing support and guidance on Fair Work matters, employment conditions and relevant Modern Awards
- Interpreting and applying the National Employment Standards and relevant employment legislation
- Supporting workers compensation and return-to-work matters
- Assisting with injury management and maintaining communication with employees, managers, insurers and other relevant stakeholders
- Supporting workplace investigations and employee relations processes
- Coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding
- Preparing employment contracts, letters, variations and other HR documentation
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
- Coordinating pre-employment checks and compliance requirements
- Monitoring employee qualifications, accreditation, training and other required documentation
- Processing employee changes including transfers, promotions and changes to employment conditions
- Supporting Payroll with employee information and changes
- Maintaining accurate employee information in HR systems, including Tanda
- Assisting with Learning & Development and training administration
- Preparing HR reports and supporting HR projects,
audits and compliance activities
- Following up outstanding HR actions and documentation
- Providing general HR support to the wider People & Culture team
About You
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, HR Advisor, HR Generalist or similar role and is comfortable working across a broad range of HR responsibilities.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in early childhood education and care will be highly regarded, particularly candidates who understand the workforce, compliance and regulatory requirements of operating across multiple services.
- Experience dealing with Fair Work and employment legislation
- Working knowledge of the National Employment Standards and Modern Awards
- Experience supporting workers compensation and return-to-work matters
- Experience with employee relations, performance management, conduct and attendance matters
- Strong HR administration and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence communicating with employees and managers at all levels
- An understanding of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems
- The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- A proactive approach and the ability to follow matters through to completion
- A practical, people‑focused approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
