About the role

The Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Service (NMERS) delivers a collaborative, team-based approach to nursing and midwifery education and learning across West Moreton Health (WMH), strengthening connections across services and fostering a culture of shared learning. Through the delivery of evidence-based, impact-driven clinical education and professional development opportunities,



the NMERS team is committed to enhancing patient safety, improving staff satisfaction, and supporting workforce retention. A core focus of the NMERS service is to empower all nurses and midwives to practice to their full scope of practice, fostering capability and confidence at every stage of their career journey.

The NMERS team operates under a centralised model within the West Moreton Health organisational structure, the NMERS team is within the Nursing and Midwifery division. The model supports a strategic, coordinated approach, with Nurse Educators and Clinical Facilitators aligned to divisional areas and specialty portfolios. The Midwifery Educator has the responsibility to support the professional development of midwifery staff across West Moreton Health.

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
