Workfast is looking for a productionMachine Operator to join our client’s team, a leading manufacturer and supplier of window and door hardware.

Pay rate: $35 – $37 per hour (dependent on experience) + OT penalties + super

Hours: 7:30am to 4pm (Mon to Thurs) 7:30am to 2pm (Fri)

Location: Wetherill Park, NSW

Candidates must have the ability to operate and monitor complex machinery with minimal supervision. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude to handle machine set-ups, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting. As an advanced operator, you will support production efficiency by conducting quality checks and providing guidance to junior staff. This is an ideal position for a reliable, proactive individual ready to uphold high safety and quality standards.

What you need

- Certificate II or III in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Sound understanding of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and quality standards.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills for recording production data accurately.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment.

What you will be doing

- Setting up, adjusting, and calibrating machinery for specific production runs.
- Operating and monitoring equipment to ensure optimal output and performance.
- Conducting regular quality checks to ensure products meet industry standards.
- Performing basic maintenance, minor repairs, and necessary machine adjustments.
- Identifying and troubleshooting operational issues, escalating them when required.
- Accurately recording production data and reporting any quality concerns.
- Providing guidance and training to entry-level operators on the floor.
- Complying with all WHS policies, including PPE use and incident reporting.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work workplace to encourage a strong safety culture.
