Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) is seeking a highly organised and motivated Coastal Safety Officer to support the delivery of lifesaving services across Queensland. Working within our Lifesaving Services team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of operational reporting, coordinating grant programs, maintaining quality management systems, and supporting public safety initiatives that help save lives along our coastline.

What You'll Do:
n
n
- Coordinating operational, statistical, accreditation, and compliance reporting
n
- Supporting quality management systems, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Coordinate grant administration, funding records, acquittals, and reporting processes
n
- Identifying and supporting grant funding opportunities
n
- Maintaining critical operational databases, records, and documentation
n
- Assisting with coastal risk audits and the analysis of safety data
n
- Preparing reports, briefing notes, presentations, correspondence, and meeting documentation
n
- Supporting Brisbane Lifesaving Service training programs, meetings, and events
n
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to support public safety outcomes
n
n
About You:
n
n
- A current Blue Card (or ability to obtain one)
n
- A current drivers license
n
- Robust administrative and organisational skills
n
- Experience preparing reports, minutes, presentations, and correspondence
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
n
- Experience working with compliance, governance, quality assurance, or audit processes
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
n
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
n
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information professionally
n
- Quality Management qualifications and/or experience (highly regarded)
n
- Experience with grants administration (highly regarded)
n
- Surf lifesaving or emergency services experience (highly regarded)
n
