Temptation Bakeries is a well-established Australian bakery manufacturer located at Kunda Park on the Sunshine Coast. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead our production operations and team.

This is a hands‑on leadership position suited to an experienced manufacturing supervisor or production leader who is ready to take the next step in their career.

About the Role

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our production operations, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

You will lead the production team, manage resources, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate daily production activities
- Lead, supervise and develop the production team
- Plan and coordinate production to meet customer requirements and production schedules
- Monitor productivity, labour utilisation, waste and production efficiency
- Ensure food safety, quality and GMP standards are maintained
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety
- Manage production staffing and labour requirements
- Monitor equipment performance and minimise production downtime
- Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse and Management
- Identify production issues and implement effective solutions
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation
- Ensure production records and documentation are completed accurately
- Assist with new product introductions and production improvements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

- Minimum 5 years' experience supervising staff within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing a production team
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production requirements




- Proven ability to manage staff performance and workplace issues
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Sound computer skills and the ability to complete production reports and documentation
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Highly Desirable

Experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:

- Food manufacturing
- Bakery manufacturing
- FMCG
- High‑volume production
- Food safety and HACCP
- GMP
- Production planning and scheduling
- Managing production equipment and maintenance requirements

About You

You will be a practical, hands‑on leader who understands that successful manufacturing comes from having the right people, processes and systems in place.

You will be confident managing a team, setting expectations, addressing performance issues and ensuring production targets are achieved.

You will also be comfortable working on the factory floor, identifying problems and working with your team to find practical solutions.
