About the opportunity
Perioperative Services at Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg is recruiting experienced perioperative registered nurses to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Perioperative, Intraoperative or Preanesthetic Nursing, in collaboration with Deakin University. Semester one teaching period begins in February 2027.
Experienced preceptors and Clinical Educator support provided within a supportive working environment, dedicated to women’s’ health. By joining our team, you will develop a strong clinical understanding and ability to collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients receive high quality care.
What you’ll bring
- Current unrestricted registration as RN Division 1 with AHPRA
- A minimum of 12 months peri-operative experience essential
- Proven ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively within the team
- Critical thinking ability and demonstration of prioritising patient care
- Evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development
- Evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
