Some of our clients are looking for systems safety engineers to join their teams in Melbourne, Canberra, and Adelaide.
If you are a seasoned systems engineer with experience in systems safety within defence, aerospace, rail, and safety-critical industries, our clients have some exciting opportunities to lead the safety processes and culture in their engineering teams.
As a systems safety engineer, you will
- Lead system safety activities for various significant defence projects, serving as the primary subject matter expert at safety meetings with the customer.
- Conduct safety assessments for recent designs and design modifications, providing critical analysis of potential impacts on system safety.
- Identity hazards and maintain comprehensive hazard logs and risk control plans, ensuring alignment with Defence safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the company at high-level safety working groups and executive meetings, presenting technical findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
About You
- A professional engineering qualification or equivalent discipline.
- 5 plus years experience in Systems Safety Engineering within Defence or relevant industries.
- Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle within Defence.
- Knowledge of Systems Safety standards, for example MIL-STD-882.
- Knowledge of ASDEFCON contracting framework.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders in both written and oral form.
