Join the Biomedical Engineering team as a Biomedical Technician Cadet, combining formal part time tertiary study with hands-on, on-the-job training. You’ll gain practical experience while working towards an approved AQF Level 6 Engineering qualification, such as an Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your engineering career, gain a recognised qualification and develop practical skills in a specialised healthcare environment. Earn. Learn. Progress.

Role fit

The essential requirements for this role are:

- Ability to gain knowledge and skills in the maintenance, installation and technical support of health technology equipment and systems, including information systems and networks.
- Ability to work as a team member to achieve goals and objectives.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and to resolve problems.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems by drawing on knowledge and applying logical thought processes.

This is not a graduate position — it is specifically designed as a training pathway for applicants working towards an AQF Level 6 Engineering qualification.

To be eligible for the Cadet position, you must not already hold an:

- Advanced Diploma in Engineering
- Associate Degree in Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
