We are seeking highly motivated students to join an exciting multidisciplinary program focused on the development of novel molecular contrast agents for the imaging of solid tumours.

Project Overview

The successful candidate will contribute to the design, synthesis, and evaluation of innovative tumour-targeting contrast agents for applications in:

- Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Magnetic Particle Imaging
- Image-guided precision oncology

The project will investigate molecular targets associated with the tumour microenvironment, including cancer-associated fibroblasts, tumour vasculature, and other biomarkers relevant to solid malignancies.

The project offers training across multiple disciplines, including: Molecular imaging Cancer biology, Nanomedicine, Radiochemistry, Tumour microenvironment research, Preclinical imaging and Translational oncology.

You will be working within the Adelaide University’s Bioengineering group.

The group is highly cross-disciplinary and focussed on translating technological advances in biomedical engineering towards improving outcomes for cancer patients.PhD students within the group are supported by postdocs with experience in PhD student co-supervision and benefit from full access to state-of-the-art facilities and our robust international network of collaborators.
