As the Medical Receptionist, you'll be the heart of our front office operations, serving as the first point of contact for our valued patients. You'll be responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and efficient environment while managing a range of administrative and patient-facing tasks.
The position is permanent part time, 2 days per week, Wednesday and Thursday with scope for some flexibility for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
Greeting patients warmly, assisting with forms, and ensuring their information is accurate and up-to-date
Scheduling, rescheduling, and moving patients through their appointments seamlessly
Handling incoming and outgoing mail and emails, collecting payments, maintaining office supplies, and ensuring a neat and clean reception area
Maintaining and managing accurate patient records with the utmost attention to privacy and confidentiality
Working under the direction of our Practice Manager and Principle GP,
with opportunities to work autonomously within your areas of responsibility

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills across all age groups and social backgrounds
A genuine desire to provide excellent service and create a positive experience for every patient
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy front desk efficiently
A cooperative attitude, working closely with our nursing and clinical teams to foster a cohesive setting
Honesty, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
A proactive approach to learning and adapting to evolving practice policies and procedures
