Payroll Officer
What you will be doing
Working closely with our experienced payroll team, you will assist with:
- Reviewing timesheets, hours worked, pay rates and deductions.
- Processing accurate and timely employee payments.
- Updating employee payroll, tax and banking information.
- Preparing client invoices based on approved timesheets.
- Responding to general payroll enquiries from employees.
- Assisting with payroll reports and internal checks.
- Supporting PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and other statutory obligations.
- Working with payroll, finance, HR and operations to resolve discrepancies.
- Working and strengthen your payroll knowledge through exposure to diverse industries and award structures.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information.
About you
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have completed, or are completing, a qualification in accounting, finance or a related field; or
- Have up to 3 years of payroll or similar administration experience.
- Are highly detail-oriented and accurate.
- Have solid time-management and organisational skills.
- Can manage competing priorities and meet weekly deadlines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Are proactive, reliable and willing to learn.
- Can handle confidential information with care and discretion.
- Are comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence.
- Experiences in Building & Construction Award is highly desirable.
