Perspektiv

New South Wales

At Perspektiv, sustainability means shaping better futures for communities, organisations, and natural systems. We help clients make practical decisions that create lasting value for people, planet, and business. Our vision, Finding a Better Way, guides every conversation, project and outcome we deliver.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished sustainability professional to join our NSW team as Lead Consultant - a role for someone ready to shape work that matters. You will lead complex assignments, guide strategic client conversations, and build the capability of an emerging team.

This is a chance to apply deep technical expertise with broader influence - combining advisory credibility, commercial judgement, and people leadership to elevate delivery and help shape Perspektiv's next stage of growth.

The Role

As Lead Consultant, you will:

- Combine technical expertise in climate strategy, risk, and carbon management, and reporting to help our clients navigate the challenges, risks, and opportunities of climate change.
- Support a multifaceted approach to climate-related risk management, decarbonisation strategies, and sustainability assurance with a focus on creating value for businesses, enhance resilience, and support the transition to a low-carbon economy.
- Oversee delivery across a portfolio of projects, ensuring consistent quality, timeliness, and budget performance across your team.
- Take accountability for compliance with sustainability regulations, reporting standards and internal quality frameworks, and manage budget performance for your projects in your service area.
- Manage day-to-day resourcing, project scoping, pricing, and staffing decisions within agreed parameters, escalating material commercial, reputational, or regulatory risks to the leadership team.
- Contribute to the development of tools, templates and methodologies that improve how we deliver for clients.

- Set and monitor delivery standards for your team and resolve complex or high-risk delivery issues as they arise.
- Lead, mentor, and develop your team - growing their numbers and capability, and overseeing their performance and professional development.
- Own and grow strategic client relationships, identify and convert current opportunities, and represent Perspektiv in industry forums and client engagements.
- Support proposals and tenders through research, analysis, and drafting, and build and maintain a network of valuable industry contacts.

This Role Would Suit You If You

- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in sustainability, science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Are confident working with relevant sustainability frameworks, rating tools, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements, and can translate them into practical advice for clients.
- Have 7+ years' relevant experience in sustainability consulting or advisory work, with the judgement to lead complex client engagements and apply specialist knowledge across industry segments.
- Have a proven record of delivering sustainability outcomes for clients, ideally including independent assurance for complex infrastructure projects and assets, with ISAP or GSAP accreditation completed or in progress.
- Communicate with confidence across diverse stakeholder groups, with the ability to negotiate, facilitate and present complex sustainability concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Are confident preparing,

reviewing, and communicating technical documents and data analysis for a range of stakeholders.
- Understand how corporate strategic objectives shape work plans and goals and can manage competing demands within a project environment.
- Bring developed people-management skills: you can mentor, empathise, think laterally, and make sound calls under pressure.
- Bring commercial confidence, including the ability to scope work, understand project economics and contribute to proposals, pricing, and business development conversations.
- Bring a strong commitment to sustainable development, with genuine care for people, planet and the practical work required to create better outcomes.

How You'll Be Extraordinary

- You are enthusiastic about driving real, lasting impact, as a trusted partner, pragmatic problem-solver, and as an agent for positive change.
- You are focused on meaningful work, personal wellbeing, and scaling your influence on where it matters most.
- You guide and mentor others, keeping your team collaborative, innovative and adaptable as sustainability practice evolves.
- You are comfortable navigating ambiguous or ethical grey areas and bring good judgement to decisions that matter.

Join Us

For experienced sustainability professionals, this is work with purpose, momentum, and real influence. You will join a growing consultancy where your judgement, relationships and leadership help shape better outcomes for clients and the business.

In return, you will receive an attractive salary package, meaningful investment in your growth, and a genuinely supportive, values-led team.

- $3,000 and 40 hours each year for professional development
- volunteering leave
- adventure leave
- active commute subsidy
- a hybrid working environment
