SmartClinics Toowong has a fantastic chance for an enthusiasticPractice Nurse (Registered Nurse) to join our team on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis. With a focus on Care Plans and patient support, our ideal candidate will have experience with Chronic Disease Management and strong interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated with a sound background in patient care, and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and industry.

This role is ideal for someone after full time hours or has the flexibility across Monday to Friday. If part-time is preferred, then the ability to cover leave at short notice is ideal.

SmartClinics is an established group of GP clinics, where patients are at the centre of decision-making.

The duties of this role include:

- Provide culturally appropriate assessments, therapeutic and education services for clients with chronic disease as required
- Chronic Disease Management
- Triage and management of acutely unwell patients
- Immunisations of children and adults
- Wound care
- Health assessments including workplace medicals
- Assisting with minor procedures
- Results notification and patient education
- Cold chain management

About you

- You have a strong clinical background and a drive to deliver exceptional service. You thrive working independently.
- Registered Nurse (Division 1)



with recent clinical experience within the last 5 years.
- Previous experience working in General Practice and/or Emergency preferable
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no notations
- Ability to work autonomously
- The right to work in Australia
- Dedication to the provision of the highest standard of nursing care with exceptional attention to detail
- A warm and friendly personality with a commitment to working as a part of a team of professionals
- Have a strong work ethic, a caring nature, high level communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills (previous experience with Best Practice software not essential but highly regarded, especially Medical Director)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Team lead or management experience within general practice is highly favoured.
