Oppenheimer Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer – Food Safety to support food safety, quality and compliance across our food manufacturing operations.
This is a hands-on role working closely with Production and QA teams to ensure food safety controls are consistently followed, verified and documented across the site.

This is a hands-on role working closely with Production and QA teams to ensure food safety controls are consistently followed, verified and documented across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily QA, GMP and food safety checks across production.
- Monitor and verify CCPs, temperature controls, hygiene and high-care practices.
- Maintain accurate HACCP, QMS and food safety records.
- Identify and investigate non-conformances, food safety incidents and quality issues.
- Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Assist with internal, customer and external audits.
- Conduct product, environmental and microbiological sampling where required.
- Monitor allergen controls, traceability, labelling and product release requirements.
- Ensure production teams comply with GMP, hygiene and food safety procedures.
- Support staff training in HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements.
- Escalate food safety risks and ensure affected product is appropriately controlled.
About You
Essential
- Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance or a related field.
- Experience in QA or food safety within food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety systems.
- Experience completing QA checks and maintaining compliance documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working on the production floor.
- Positive communication, investigation and problem-solving skills.
Highly Desirable
- Experience in cooked, chilled, prepared or ready-to-eat food manufacturing.
- Experience in a high-care environment.
- HACCP or Internal Auditor certification.
- Experience with SQF, BRCGS or another GFSI-recognised standard.
