Why This Casual Role is Different
Unlike many casual education positions, this is not a relief or on-call role.
Our casual Diploma Qualified Educators form an important part of our core team and are rostered based on their availability and the needs of the service. We work collaboratively with team members to create schedules that support both the service and individual commitments.

About the role
As a Casual Diploma Qualified Educator, you will work alongside experienced Room Leaders and Educators to deliver engaging, inclusive and enriching programs for children in our Early Years Program, supporting Kindergarten and Prep students.
Available shifts include:
- Before School Care: 6.30am to 8.30am
- After School Care: from 2.30pm
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality educational and recreational experiences that promote children's learning and development
- Use intentional teaching practices and scaffolding strategies to support children's interests and growth
- Foster meaningful relationships with children through active engagement and positive interactions
- Supervise children in accordance with National Quality Framework standards and service policies
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment
- Communicate effectively with families and contribute to positive partnerships within the service
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the successful delivery of daily programs
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent (essential)
- Previous experience working in OSHC, Vacation Care, long day care or similar children's services
- Current Queensland Paid Blue Card
- Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis Management certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong understanding of child development and child-centred practice
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Passion for creating engaging experiences that support children's wellbeing, learning and belonging
