About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group General Manager - Multi-Site Dental Group to join Clear Dental Group on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal leadership position with responsibility for overseeing the operational, financial, and strategic direction of our multi-site dental practice network. You will play a crucial role in driving organisational growth, ensuring clinical excellence across all locations, and creating an exceptional environment for both staff and patients. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the multi-site dental group, including operations, finance, clinical services, and human resources
Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market expansion across all locations
Monitor and manage financial performance, budgets, and cost controls across the group, ensuring sustainable profitability
Lead the recruitment, training, development, and retention of high-performing dental professionals and support staff across all sites
Establish and maintain consistent clinical standards and best practices across all locations, ensuring compliance with dental regulations and industry standards
Oversee patient experience initiatives and implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and loyalty
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including landlords, suppliers, and professional bodies
Lead the implementation of operational systems, processes, and technology solutions to improve efficiency and service delivery
Conduct regular site visits to monitor operations, quality assurance, and team performance
Develop and manage performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the group
Foster a positive, team-oriented organisational culture that supports professional development and staff wellbeing
Report to the ownership or board on group performance, strategic initiatives, and key business developments
What we're looking for
Proven experience in dental practice management, ideally leading multi-site dental operations or healthcare group management
Strong understanding of dental industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practice standards in Australia
Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience in financial management, P&L; responsibility, and driving business growth
Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams across multiple locations
Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement long-term business strategies
Experience in operational management, including systems implementation, process improvement, and workflow optimisation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff, patients, and external stakeholders
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of dental clinical services, patient care standards, and clinical governance is highly desirable
Tertiary qualification in business management, healthcare management, or a related field is preferred
Proficiency with practice management software and digital business systems
