As the RAN prepares to welcome 13 brand‑current MH‑60 Romeo helicopters into its existing fleet, Sikorsky Australia – a LockheedMartin company and Australia’s leading defence rotary‑wing support partner – is looking for fresh talent to join our Team and contribute getting these aircraft flying.

From the heart of the beautiful South Coast, we deliver end‑to‑end solutions that keep the Navy’s maritime helicopters operational: detailed maintenance and servicing, full‑scale repair & overhaul, and an integrated supply‑chain network that supports every mission.

To commence January 2027, we are seeking applicants for 3 trade apprenticeships.

Key responsibilities:

Our Apprentice technicians will be responsible for assisting with the hands‑on repair, maintenance and servicing of Romeo Seahawk aircraft and equipment. While undergoing training in the various aspects of your trade, you may be required to move between Sikorsky and our partner’s facillities as well at travel to attend theory‑based training, ensuring you gain the required expertise to successfully complete the unit standards required for your apprenticeship.

What you’ll bring:

To be successful in this role the skills and abilities required include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Passion for helicopters and aviation
- Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and willing to learn
- An ability to meet and maintain a Australian Security Clearance
- Willing to travel to complete theory modules of your training
