About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare professional to join our team at Tattle Tales Pre School in Tarrawanna NSW. This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, development and learning of young children. You will work collaboratively with our experienced educators to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can thrive. Your contribution will be fundamental to delivering exceptional care and fostering positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

- Providing direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, health and wellbeing at all times
- Supporting educators in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning activities and experiences
- Assisting with daily routines including meals, nappy changes, toileting and rest time
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe environment within designated areas
- Building positive relationships with children and responding to their individual needs and interests
- Supporting the implementation of centre policies and procedures




- Communicating effectively with families regarding their child's progress, needs and development
- Fostering an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates diversity
- Assisting with behaviour guidance using positive, age-appropriate strategies

What we're looking for

- A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to complete training)
- Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Physical capability to lift, carry and engage in active play with young children
- Patience, flexibility and a calm approach to managing challenging situations
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare is highly desirable
- Understanding of child development and play-based learning principles is preferred
