What you'll be doing

The service will provide advice, triage, initial assessment, and referral service to facilitate access to the appropriate mental health or substance use disorders (SUD) services for the people of MNCLHD across their lifespan. MNCLHD has a wide distribution of consumers that have challenges accessing services resulting in the need to refine and centralise ‘front-end’ 24/7 referral, access, and entry pathways as a priority to IMHAOD services. This position will provide clinical nursing leadership, ensuring advanced assessment, person centred management planning and investigation including physical assessments, diagnostic reasoning and referrals, together with therapeutic interventions, including psychopharmacological interventions, for people substance use disorders within the NP scope of practice. To engage in practice as guided by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Nurse Practitioner Standards Framework.
