We are looking for an experienced Communications Officer to join our client on a 3-6 month contract, with the prospect for extension.

About the role

Working as part of the communications and marketing function, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging communications across a range of channels. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple projects, manage competing priorities and help deliver communications that connect with a diverse community.

Do you have

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, digital or a related discipline, and/or demonstrated experience developing, delivering and evaluating marketing communications campaigns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience using a range of marketing communications tools, including social media and email marketing
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
- The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders in a busy setting
- Local government experience is essential
