- Be the primary interface between Transport and the portfolio Ministerial Office/s and the key relationship manager between relevant Ministerial staff, Department Liaison Officers and Transport, ensuring proactive engagement, clear communication, streamlined and customer-focused operations, and high-quality and timely outputs.
- Support Transport’s Ministers, the Secretary and senior management by coordinating and facilitating the provision of well-researched, concise and astute advice on often complex issues within tight timeframes, ensuring that issues of an urgent, sensitive and confidential nature are identified and referred for action.
- Be a key contributor to the Government and Parliamentary Services branch by facilitating cross-team collaboration working closely with stakeholders to establish a consistent approach, identifying and initiating continuous improvement opportunities, and supporting knowledge sharing across the branch.
- Coordinate complex and sensitive briefing materials, reports, and parliamentary products for Ministerial Offices and the Secretary, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage incoming requests and triage them efficiently,



keeping systems updated and processes streamlined.
- Provide strategic advice to senior executives and Ministerial Offices on urgent or politically sensitive issues, including risk identification and mitigation.
- Build solid stakeholder relationships through clear communication and proactive engagement. Maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with key internal and external contacts to achieve a strategic approach to all requests from Ministerial Offices and the Secretary and to provide proactive advice and information from across Transport and its agencies.
- Permanent, fulltime role | Home hub Macquarie Park or Regional location. Hybrid working arrangements.

You are a trusted connector, building strong relationships and ensuring clear, proactive communication. You thrive in fast-paced environments, delivering well-researched, concise advice on complex issues under tight deadlines.

You handle sensitive and confidential matters with confidence, diplomacy, and accuracy and keep stakeholders informed and engaged. You also possess:

- Strong understanding of State Government systems, policies, and practices, including the workings of a Ministerial Office, Parliament and Machinery of Government.
- Demonstrated ability to critically analyse complex information, communicate in plain English, and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent written,



authoring and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to draft clear, professional well-crafted customer responses and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and SMEs.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience in Government Services or Ministerial Services.
