The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded Australian property group in a broad and hands-on Bookkeeper position. Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations across a growing group of entities, playing a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the continued growth of the business.
This is a varied position offering exposure across the full accounting cycle, ideal for an experienced Bookkeeper or Accountant who enjoys taking ownership and working autonomously.
The Challenge
Reporting to senior stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities and business units
- Managing the full accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Processing invoices, payments and day-to-day financial transactions
- Completing daily and monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and lodging BAS, GST and other compliance requirements
- Assisting with the maintenance and improvement of the chart of accounts
- Cleaning up existing bookkeeping records and implementing improved processes
- Ensuring consistency and accuracy of financial information across the business
The Expertise
Please consider applying if you possess the following:
- 2+ years’ experience in a Bookkeeping, Accounts All-Rounder or similar accounting role
- Strong experience across AP, AR, reconciliations and general bookkeeping
- Solid attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising directly with business owners and senior stakeholders
- Exposure to Xero (highly regarded)
