ABOUT THE ROLE

Maitland Toyota is looking for a driven and experienced sales professional to join our Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Team. This is an opportunity for someone who knows how to build rapport, identify customer needs, create opportunities, negotiate confidently, and close deals. You'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while consistently working towards and achieving sales targets.

This role is suited to someone who is genuinely motivated by sales, enjoys working with customers, and is looking to build a long‑term career in automotive industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage customers throughout the complete sales process, from initial enquiry through to vehicle delivery.

Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to generate sales.

Understand customer needs, preferences, and budgets to recommend the right vehicle.

Present and demonstrate pre‑owned vehicles confidently and professionally.

Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives while highlighting key features and benefits.

Proactively follow up leads, enquiries, quotes, and existing customers.





Negotiate confidently and close sales while achieving strong outcomes for both the customer and dealership.

Consistently work towards and achieve individual and dealership sales targets.

Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within dealership systems.

Deliver a professional and personalised customer experience at every stage.

Follow up with customers after delivery to encourage satisfaction, referrals, and repeat business.

Maintain the presentation of the pre‑owned vehicle display to a high standard.

Work collaboratively with the wider dealership team to achieve business objectives.

ABOUT YOU

Minimum 2 years' sales experience.

Motor vehicle sales experience highly desirable, but not essential.

A proven ability to build rapport, develop relationships, and convert opportunities into sales.

Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills.

A genuine drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.

A proactive approach to generating and following up sales opportunities.

Confidence working with customers throughout the entire sales process.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Professional presentation and a customer‑first approach.





Confidence using computer systems and digital sales tools.

A current and valid Australian Driver's Licence.

A positive, resilient, and motivated attitude.

A genuine desire to establish a long‑term career in automotive sales.
