About the Role

We are currently seeking Electronic Assemblers (Manufacturing Operators) to join our Brisbane Manufacturing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Based at our Newstead facility, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, cleaning, inspecting and packaging components used in Cochlear Implant Systems while meeting quality, productivity and safety standards.

What You'll Be Doing

- Assembling, testing and inspecting medical device components.
- Following detailed work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
- Completing manufacturing, cleaning, washing and packaging tasks.
- Maintaining high quality and productivity standards.
- Working collaboratively within a supportive team setting.
- Following strict safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you:

- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Enjoy hands-on work and paying attention to detail.
- Can follow written procedures and verbal instructions accurately.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Are committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
- Have previous manufacturing, assembly, packing, testing or production experience (desirable but not essential).

No manufacturing experience? No problem. We provide extensive on-the-job training and support,



so candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Requirements

- Full working rights in Australia.
- Visa holders must have a minimum of two years remaining on their visa and unrestricted working rights (38+ hours per week).
- Working Holiday and Student Visa holders are not eligible.
- Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Working Environment

As part of our manufacturing operations, you will be required to wear manufacturing garments to ensure product quality and safety standards are maintained. This includes items such as masks, gloves, finger stalls, hoods, hair nets, coats/coveralls, shoe covers and ESD straps.

You will initially be allocated to one of our fixed shift patterns:

- Day Shift: 6:24am - 2:30pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2:24pm - 10:30pm

Please note that onsite parking is not available, however the site is well serviced by public transport and nearby parking options.

Career Progression & Salary

This role provides a explicit development pathway.

Employees commence at Grade Level 1 ($62,285.60) and can progress through to Grade Level 4 ($72,415.20) as skills and competencies are developed and demonstrated.

Recruitment Process

Assessment Centres are held weekly on Wednesdays or Thursdays, alternating between AM and PM shift recruitment.

Successful candidates will participate in our onboarding program, which occurs fortnightly.
