POINTBREAK CAFE & CO PTY LTD T/a PointBreak Cafe & Co (located at Shop 9/120 Marine Parade, Coolangatta QLD 4225_) is currently seeking a talented Chef to join the team full time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and manage the preparation and cooking of food to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
- Assist with menu development, estimate food and labour requirements, and arrange the procurement of ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor the quality and presentation of dishes throughout all stages of preparation and service to maintain consistency and customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with management, dietitians, and kitchen and front-of-house staff regarding food preparation requirements and service needs.
- Demonstrate culinary techniques and provide guidance on cooking methods and kitchen procedures
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and established standards. Promote and enforce food safety,



hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures within the kitchen.
- Assist with the selection, training, and supervision of kitchen staff when required
- Apply appropriate food preservation and storage techniques to maintain product quality and minimise waste.

Applicants must have:

- Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year experience.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment.
- Strong knife skills and food preparation techniques.
- Experience in different cooking methods.
- Understanding of ingredients and seasonings.
- Food safety and sanitation practices.
- Skills in Plating and Presentation.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Creativity in designing innovative dishes and menu.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing tasks, inventory and staff schedules

A salary of $79,500 - $82,500 will be offered the successful candidate.
