This role is responsible for the provision of expert advice in the financial and commercial management of the divisions within Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service

The Role

An prospect has become available for a Principal Divisional Finance Officer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Collaborate and consult closely with key stakeholders to deliver meaningful budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and reports
- Work with the Divisional Finance Manager to provide decision support for negotiation, reporting and amendment processes
- Drive and monitor efficiency and optimisation strategies across the division
- Understanding the requirements for policy, systems, processes and culture to operate in an Activity Based Funding environment

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

- While not mandatory, experience in a health care setting in a business / operational environment would be well regarded
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification such as Bachelor of Business, Commerce or Accounting and a relevant professional qualification would be well regarded
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

The Division is made up of Divisional Finance Teams, Financial Reporting and Compliance, Financial Performance and Procurement and Contract Management. This role is based within the Divisional Finance Team.
