Smith & Sons Renovations & Extensions – Sydney CBD NSW

Franchise Sales Professional / BDM – NSW & VIC

Sydney Based | $80,000 + Super + Uncapped Commission

Help grow one of Australia's established building franchise networks.

We’re looking for a commercially minded, energetic sales professional to drive the continued growth of the Smith & Sons franchise network across New South Wales and Victoria.

This is not a role for someone who simply waits for enquiries to arrive.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys sales, people and opportunity — someone who can build rapport quickly, identify quality prospects and confidently guide the right people through the journey from initial conversation to becoming a Smith & Sons Franchise Partner.

Based in Sydney, you'll take ownership of the NSW and Victorian franchise recruitment pipeline and play a key role in the next stage of growth for our network.

The Role

Your primary objective is simple:

Find great people and grow the network.

You'll manage prospective Franchise Partners from initial enquiry and qualification through meetings, franchise documentation, compliance and ultimately the execution of their Franchise Agreement.

But we don't just want someone managing incoming leads.

You'll be expected to actively develop new ways to find potential Franchise Partners — building referral networks, identifying opportunities, creating recruitment initiatives and getting in front of quality builders and businesspeople who may never have considered franchising before.

You'll have the support of an established national business, but you'll also have the freedom to bring your own ideas and energy to how we grow.

What You'll Be Doing

Own and actively manage the franchise recruitment pipeline across NSW and Victoria

Generate, qualify and develop new Franchise Partner opportunities

Build genuine relationships with prospective Franchise Partners

Conduct franchise opportunity discussions and presentations

Follow up prospects and confidently progress opportunities through the recruitment process

Develop and implement strategies to proactively source new candidates

Build referral networks and identify new recruitment channels

Maintain an accurate and active CRM pipeline

Coordinate franchise disclosure, documentation and recruitment compliance

Ensure relevant builder licensing and compliance requirements are satisfied

Work with our systems team to continually improve and automate the recruitment process

Support the handover and onboarding of successful new Franchise Partners

Report on pipeline activity, conversion rates and recruitment strategy

What Success Looks Like

We want someone who takes genuine ownership of network growth.

Our expectation is a minimum of six new Franchise Partners per year across NSW and Victoria, with significant chance and financial reward for someone who can exceed that target.

You’ll be measured not simply on activity, but on your ability to build a quality pipeline and ultimately convert the right candidates into successful Franchise Partners.

Who We're Looking For

You don't necessarily need previous franchising experience.

You do need to be good with people and comfortable in a commercially driven, results-focused environment.

Some experience in the construction industry is not essential but will help.

You may currently work in business development, recruitment, real estate,

automotive, finance, construction, franchising or consultative sales.

You'll probably be someone who:

Builds rapport easily and genuinely enjoys talking to people

Is comfortable picking up the phone and starting conversations

Can sell without sounding like a salesperson

Is persistent with follow-up without being pushy

Enjoys targets and being rewarded for results

Is organised and disciplined with pipeline and CRM management

Can comfortably communicate with builders, tradespeople and business owners

Takes ownership and doesn't need to be constantly managed

Is commercially minded and can recognise a good opportunity

Brings ideas to the table rather than simply following a process

Understands that consistent activity ultimately creates sales results

Experience in the building, construction or franchise sectors would be highly regarded, but attitude, sales ability and commercial instinct are more important.

Some interstate travel between NSW and Victoria will be required.

What's In It For You?

This is an opportunity to have a genuine influence on the growth of an established Australian franchise network.

You'll work closely with senior management and have the autonomy to develop recruitment strategies, pursue opportunities and directly see the results of your work as new Franchise Partners establish and grow their businesses.

Remuneration

$80,000 base salary + Super + Uncapped Commission

Importantly, the commission structure rewards higher performance.

If you're someone who sees a target as something to beat rather than simply achieve, there is genuine upside.

If you're looking for a role where you can own the pipeline, influence the strategy, build relationships and be directly rewarded for growing a business, we’d like to hear from you.
