About the role

The Ingham Institute is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Clinical Trial Coordinator to join our Medical Oncology research team on a full-time, 12-month contract.

This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in the delivery of cutting-edge cancer clinical trials, working closely with Medical Oncologists, research participants, sponsors, and multidisciplinary teams across Liverpool Hospital and South Western Sydney Local Health District.

In this role, you will coordinate and oversee a portfolio of oncology clinical trials, supporting studies from start-up through to completion. You will be responsible for participant recruitment, protocol implementation, regulatory compliance, trial documentation, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring all research activities are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) and relevant ethical and regulatory requirements.

As a senior member of the team, you will also contribute to feasibility assessments, lead tumour group activities, mentor and support colleagues,



and drive quality improvement initiatives that enhance clinical trial delivery and patient outcomes. This is a rewarding opportunity for a clinical research professional who is passionate about advancing cancer care through high-quality, patient-centred research.

About You

Degree qualification in Health Science, Nursing, or a related discipline.

At least 3 years’ experience coordinating sponsored clinical trials within a healthcare or research environment.

Strong knowledge of clinical research practices, ethical requirements, ICH-GCP guidelines, and regulatory compliance.

Demonstrated project planning, coordination, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Proven ability to identify issues, develop practical solutions, and implement process improvements.

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

Strong written, verbal, and virtual communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.

Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

Professional, proactive, and solutions-focused, with a positive "can-do" attitude.

Collaborative team player who demonstrates initiative and aligns with the values of the Ingham Institute.

This position as classified as a Category A worker (as outlined in the NSW Health Occupational Health policy) – mandatory vaccination is required.





Ability and willingness to travel in order to attend conferences and Investigator meetings.

Demonstrated ability to maintain high work standards with minimum supervision and an ability to ensure other team members work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures relevant to clinical trial conduct.

Ability to work in a team and support a team environment.

Flexibility in work hours (as required).
