Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Leading Hand to join our Sunshine Coast team.
About the role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll lead from the front, working alongside your crew to deliver high-quality outcomes across pipeline and civil infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and work alongside crews delivering water and sewer infrastructure
- Lead pipeline installation, maintenance and repair works
- Rehabilitation and renewals work across sewerage, water and related infrastructure.
- Coordinate subcontractors and daily site activities
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards
- Operate plant and equipment where ticketed
- Assist with general labouring as required
About you
You’re a practical,
on-site leader who takes ownership, communicates well, and drives results through your team.
Essential
- Proven experience as a Leading Hand in civil infrastructure (water/sewer preferred)
- Construction White Card
- Current driver’s licence
- Strong commitment to workplace health & safety
- Ability to lead teams and coordinate site activities
Highly regarded
- MR truck licence
- Excavator competency
- Confined space & Working at Heights tickets
- Welding experience (Electrofusion, Extrusion, Butt Welding)
