Leading Hand Carpenter / Site Supervisor in Training

Mastery Co is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to step into an onsite leadership role on a substantial alterations and additions project valued at $800,000–$850,000. This is a project-based contract, running for roughly 8-9 months.

This is more than a carpentry role it's a genuine mentoring pathway toward your Supervisor's Licence, with hand‑on experience you won't find anywhere else in the industry.

As a Design + Construct firm, we've produced all the plans, documentation, 3D models, and approvals for this project in‑house. You'll work directly from a detailed 3D model and cutting list, giving you rare visibility into the accuracy, efficiency, and "back of house" systems that most tradespeople never get to see. It's a genuine opportunity to understand both sides of a project - the build, and the design and organisation behind it.

What You'll Be Doing

- Working full‑time on the tools as Leading Carpenter, driving day‑to‑day construction
- Supervising and coordinating subcontractors to keep the project tracking to schedule
- Taking ownership of the project schedule and site progress
- Working directly from 3D models and cutting lists to execute carpentry and building elements with precision
- Being mentored directly by our Director, Mitch a licensed builder and qualified Building Designer
- Gaining documented supervisory experience that can be referenced for your future Supervisor's Licence application





About You

- Ambitious and self‑sufficient, with a genuine drive to progress toward site supervision
- Experienced Leading Hand Carpenter ready to take the next step in your career
- Comfortable running a site and coordinating subcontractors with minimal oversight
- A great communicator who can liaise confidently with subcontractors, our team, and our Director
- A team player who takes pride in contributing to a well‑run, well‑organised project
- Interested in construction documentation, 3D modelling, and how a project is organised behind the scenes
- Reliable, schedule‑driven, and takes pride in accurate, efficient work
- Available for an immediate start, full‑time
