As aNational Account Executive your primary responsibility will be to to assist in the management of one of our key retail clients. This role plays a critical position in driving sales, increasing market share, and ensuring the overall success of our products within the retail industry. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the retail landscape, and the ability to identify and capitalise on market trends and opportunities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to execute sales strategies and achieve business objectives.
Reporting to the National Business Manager, this role would also be responsible for the use of analytic tools and data systems to review new insights and develop strategies that result in better customer partnerships, unlock new opportunities, and increased returns and profitability.
Key Responsibilities for this role would include, but limited to:
Account Management:
Manage and nurture relationships with existing national accounts. Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and ensure their satisfaction with products and services.
Business Development
Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company's presence within the food industry.
Actively seek new accounts, develop leads, and convert prospects into long-term partnerships.
Sales Strategy:
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share. Utilise market insights and competitor analysis to drive decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, supply chain, and finance to ensure the smooth execution of account plans and resolve any issues that may arise.
Industry Expertise
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Use this knowledge to provide valuable insights to clients and drive business growth.
Performance Tracking:
Monitor key performance metrics for national accounts and provide regular reports and updates to management. Develop strategies to address any performance gaps.
Customer Service Excellence:
Proactively address customer needs and concerns to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Ensure prompt resolution of any issues or escalations.
Travel:
Travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit company locations as needed.
Reporting to the National Business Manager,

Our preference for this role would include:
Minimum 2 years corporate sales experience (Preferably FMCG)
Preferred previous National Account experience or support within the FMCG Industry
Ability to work in a rapid pace environment with a business with large growth goals
High level business acumen
Proven ability to develop new business
Excellent presentation and organisational skills
Experience in developing sales strategies and plans
Highly experienced with new product developments (NPD)
Track record in managing large accounts and relationship management
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Project management process understanding
Knowledge of food industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.
A background in ingredient sales, grocery sales or food science are preferable, and experience from any culinary background is advantageous. This role empowers its position holder to show their creativity and knowledge of food and cuisine.This role would also suit someone with a background in Poultry or Meat processing.
This role is based in our satellite office in Sydney, with the primary work location being Macquarie Park. Hybrid work model supported, with some interstate travel would be required to meet with key clients.
