Hi-Tec Oils is an Australian-owned manufacturer and supplier of lubricants, batteries and industrial products, with operations across Australia.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function and ensure the right products, raw materials and services are sourced at the right cost and time.

About the Role

This is a hands-on and commercially focused role responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships and delivering cost-effective and reliable supply across the business.

You will work closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Inventory, Finance and Sales to optimise purchasing, manage supply risks and improve procurement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement national procurement strategies aligned with business requirements.
- Manage relationships and negotiations with key local and international suppliers.
- Source raw materials, finished goods, packaging, consumables and other operational requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts and supply agreements.
- Monitor market conditions, pricing movements and supply risks.
- Work closely with Inventory and Operations to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Analyse purchasing requirements and forecast future demand.
- Manage purchase orders and ensure timely supply.
- Identify alternative suppliers and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Work with Finance to ensure procurement activity delivers measurable cost savings.
- Monitor landed costs,



freight and other purchasing costs.
- Establish procurement policies, processes and approval controls.
- Improve procurement systems, reporting and data accuracy.
- Monitor key procurement KPIs including spend, savings, supplier performance, lead times and stock availability.
- Work with Quality and Technical teams to ensure purchased products and raw materials meet required specifications.
- Support new product development and sourcing initiatives.
- Manage supplier issues, shortages, delays and quality concerns through to resolution.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

About You

You will ideally have:

- Proven experience in a Procurement Manager, Senior Procurement or similar role.
- Experience managing local and international suppliers.
- Strong commercial, negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, FMCG, industrial products or a similar setting.
- Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory and supply processes.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver cost savings and improve procurement outcomes.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
