About the Role
This is a full-time Bookkeeper role where you'll play a hands-on part in supporting a diverse portfolio of small business clients. You'll work closely with accountants, advisors, and partners, and be trusted to take ownership of your work and your client relationships.
This is not a heads-down, data-only role. You'll be actively involved in client communication, onboarding, and meetings, and will be expected to confidently represent Momenta Books in client interactions.
Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
- Preparing and lodging BAS and IAS, including Payroll Tax and iCare calculations and reporting
- Bank reconciliations and account maintenance
- Xero setup, support, and troubleshooting
- Payroll and superannuation processing
- Assisting with reporting and Virtual CFO services
- Assisting with new client setup and onboarding
- Attending client meetings and jumping in to support meetings as required
- Holding meetings with clients to discuss bookkeeping matters, systems, and workflows
- Liaising with clients on software and process improvementsSupporting accountants with year-end preparation
- Contributing to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and client experience
About You
You're someone who:
- Has a minimum of 5 years' experience as a bookkeeper
- Has strong working knowledge of Xero and MYOB (essential)
- Has strong knowledge of all Microsoft Applications
- Has hands-on experience with Employment Hero (essential)
- Has experience preparing Payroll Tax and iCare
- Has excellent customer service skills and enjoys client-facing work
- Speaks clear, confident English and communicates professionally with clients
- Has a strong understanding of BAS, GST and payroll
- Is organised, detail-focused, and proactive
- Is confident working independently and as part of a team
- Takes ownership of work and prides themselves on accuracy and quality
- Must hold a minimum Certificate III or IV qualification in accounting or bookkeeping
Experience with Karbon is highly regarded but not essential.
Bonus points if you enjoy process improvement, client education, or finding smarter ways to support clients.
