About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Design Coordinator, Architectural Technician or Revit Designer to join our team.
Working across technically complex industrial and commercial projects, you will coordinate the design process from client brief through to detailed design and construction documentation.
Using Revit and Navisworks, you will develop practical design solutions, produce accurate drawing packages and coordinate inputs from internal teams, external consultants and subcontractors. You will help ensure each design meets project requirements, construction standards and Wiley’s expectations for quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate designs from initial concept through to construction documentation
Develop detailed architectural drawings and 3D models using Revit
Review and coordinate multidisciplinary models using Navisworks
Identify and resolve design clashes, risks and constructability issues
Manage design inputs from clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
Ensure documentation complies with project requirements, the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards and relevant regulations
Maintain accurate design documentation, registers and approval processes
Support tender submissions, proposals and other business development activities
About You
You may currently be working as a Design Coordinator, Architectural Technician, BIM Coordinator, Revit Designer or Architectural Draftsperson.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
At least five years of relevant design or documentation experience
Advanced Revit capability, which is essential for this position
Experience using Navisworks for design coordination and model review
Experience in industrial, food manufacturing or commercial building design
A strong understanding of construction methods, detailing and buildability
Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards and relevant regulations
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
The ability to manage competing priorities and produce accurate documentation
BIM management and MS Project experience will be highly regarded
