Medland Dental is a locally owned, QIP‑accredited dental practice located in Annerley, just 10 minutes south of the Brisbane CBD. Established in 1959, we are proudly independent — unassociated with health funds or dental corporations.

About the Role
This full‑time, entry‑level position is perfect for:
- Recent university graduates seeking 1–2 years’ experience in the health sector before moving onto their 2nd degree
- Anyone wanting stable employment with structured training
We ask for a minimum 1‑year commitment to the role.
For candidates interested in staying longer, we can offer a traineeship that provides a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (approx. 12 months to complete). This option is available to applicants wishing to stay a minimum of 2 years.
You’ll receive staged, in‑house training from our dentists, dental assistants,
and oral health therapists to build strong clinical, communication, and professional skills.
Role Outline
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists and oral health practitioners with attention to detail
- Prepare treatment rooms and complete changeovers between patients
- Maintain high Infection Control Standards
- Use dental software confidently — we use Exact Dental
- Engage directly with patients to support their experience and add value to our services
- Build genuine, professional relationships with patients
- Educate patients on dental health and respond to queries
