- Assist with impressions, models, laboratory work and laboratory dispatch and receipt where trained and directed.

Reception and administrative support

- Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional service at reception.
- Answer telephone, email and in-person enquiries and direct them appropriately.
- Schedule, confirm and manage patient appointments across our clinics.
- Assist with recalls, follow-ups, appointment changes and filling short-notice cancellations.
- Process patient accounts, payments, health fund claims and other approved payment arrangements within delegated authority.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, contact information and referral details.
- Communicate appointment requirements, practice policies and approved treatment information clearly and professionally.
- Support the coordination of patient flow and communicate delays or changes to patients and the clinical team.
- Complete general office duties and assist other clinics or team members when operationally required.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

About you

- Previous dental assisting and dental reception experience is desirable.
- Entry-level applicants may be considered where suitable training and supervision can be provided.
- Experience with dental practice-management software, appointment books, HICAPS and payment processing would be advantageous.

- You communicate clearly, respectfully and professionally with patients, clinicians and colleagues.
- You’re punctual, reliable and able to organise competing clinical and reception priorities.
- You demonstrate attention to detail and consistently complete required clinical, administrative and operational processes.
- You can follow clinical direction, practice policies, procedures and lawful and reasonable instructions.
- You work constructively as part of a team and can adapt to changing clinical and operational needs.
- You have appropriate computer skills and are willing to learn our practice-management and clinical systems.
- You’re committed to patient privacy, confidentiality, cultural respect and professional conduct.
- You’re willing and able to work across our four clinic locations, with the role primarily based at Griffin and Stafford.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in providing dependable support, follows through on their responsibilities and understands that a positive patient experience depends on both solid clinical assistance and professional front-office service.
