We’re looking for enthusiastic, child‑focused educators to join our OSHC service. If you enjoy building strong relationships, supporting children’s ideas, and working in a positive team environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Gumdale State School Parents & Citizen’s Association are currently seeking Casual Educators with future Permanent Part Time opportunitiesto join our passionate team. If you enjoy having fun, are enthusiastic and love working with children, then we want to hear from you.
Parents and Citizens Associations Award – State 2016 rates OSHC & Vacation Care stream (depends on qualifications and experience, please note that junior rates may apply)
About the Role You’ll support children’s wellbeing, learning, and play through engaging, child‑led experiences. Our casual educators work across before school care, after school care, and vacation care, with flexible shifts available.

A day in the life of an OSHC Educator…
Providing nurturing care for children
Ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming environment
Create fun recreational and educational experiences that are inclusive for all
Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
Feel excited to come to work to make a difference to the lives of children in our care.
What We’re Looking For:
A warm,
inclusive approach with genuine interest in children’s safety, wellbeing, and development
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a child‑safe culture
Reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn
Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain one)
Current First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
No formal Qualifications are prerequisite for this position
Qualified Educators require a Minimum Certificate III qualification in an area relevant to working with children.A range of study areas may be recognised including: behavioural science, community services, creative arts, education, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, sports and recreation and human welfare studies. A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based setting
Knowledge of national quality framework, My Time Our Place is desirable.
Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain)
Complete the GECKO Child Safety Online Training
