About the role
Betts Transport P/L is seeking Full Time and Casual MC Interstate Drivers (Sydney/Melbourne/Newcastle/Tamworth/Brisbane or anywhere in between!) to join our growing team. With our main depot in Newcastle we are looking to broaden our horizons with our driver base. As a MC Interstate Driver, you will be responsible for the secure and efficient transportation of goods across various routes.
What you'll be doing
- Safely operate articulated motor vehicles (MC class) to transport goods across regional and interstate routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety
- Comply with all relevant road transport regulations, including logbook and fatigue management requirements
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients
What we're looking for
- A current MC class driver's licence with a good driving record
- Minimum 3 years' experience operating articulated vehicles (MC class) in a Interstate or long-distance transport role
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities
- Current BFM certificate
- Current medical certificate
