The Company

Based in South Windsor, our client is a busy meat manufacturing and processing facility looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join their maintenance team.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Diagnose and assist with the repair of electrical faults on production equipment
- Safely disconnect and reconnect motors, drives and plant equipment
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance
- Assist with the installation, replacement and commissioning of electrical components
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals
- Complete maintenance records




- Respond to maintenance calls and breakdown requests
- Participate in shutdowns, plant upgrades and after-hours breakdowns
- Work safely while complying with WHS, GMP and food safety requirements

The successful candidate will require the following attributes:

- Electrical trade qualification or proven experience in industrial maintenance
- Solid electrical background with experience assisting with electrical fault finding
- Experience working alongside licensed electricians
- Manufacturing or processing experience
- Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out routine maintenance and repairs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proactive attitude and good work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Hours & Rates:

Day shift hours: Flexible start and finish times
Rate: $60 per hour + overtime + super
