The Prospect
n
A small animal GP clinic in Auburn, NSW is looking for an experienced Locum Veterinarian to provide cover for a two-week block in December.
n
The clinic would ideally love to secure one locum for the entire period from Monday 7 December through to Friday 18 December, however they are also open to splitting the dates between multiple vets if required.
n
This is a sole charge position, so we're looking for an experienced GP veterinarian who is confident managing consultations independently and performing basic routine surgery.

The Roster
n
Monday 7 December – Friday 18 December 2026
n
Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 6:30pm
n
The weekday schedule is structured with:
n
n
- 8:00am – 11:00am: Consultations
n
- 11:00am – 3:30pm: Surgery
n
- 3:30pm – 6:30pm: Consultations
n
n
There will also be one Saturday shift during the block:
n
Saturday | 9:00am – 1:00pm
n Consultations only, with no surgery required.
n
The Role
n
This is a small animal-only GP position, with the caseload consisting of a combination of consultations and routine surgery.
n
You'll be responsible for:
n
n
- Small animal GP consultations
n
- Routine/basic surgical procedures
n
- Independently managing your cases throughout the day
n
- Working confidently in a sole charge capacity
n
- Providing general day-to-day GP veterinary care
n
n
About You
n
We're looking for an experienced small animal veterinarian who is:
n
n
- Confident with general consultations
n
- Competent performing basic routine surgery
n
- Experienced and comfortable working sole charge
n
- Able to independently manage a general practice caseload
n
- Reliable and comfortable stepping into an established clinic
n
- Ideally available for the full two-week block
n
n
Full availability is preferred but not essential.
n
