We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Hariom Namo Pty Ltd trading as Medowie Medical Centre in Medowie, NSW. This is a casual position that will see you playing a crucial role in providing high-quality customer service and administrative support to our medical practice. This role is ideal for an individual who demonstrates excellent communication skills, solid attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service in a healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

Provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for patients and visitors

Manage incoming calls and schedule patient appointments efficiently

Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system

Process patient billing, payments, and Medicare claims where required

Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure smooth clinic operations

Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations

Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, and correspondence

About you





Previous receptionist or customer service experience (medical experience and experience with BestPractice software is desirable but not essential)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks

Basic computer skills and experience with medical software (preferred)

A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care

Australian work rights are required for this position
