Biomedical Service Technician (Electronics) — Ultrasonic Systems Specialist
Keep critical equipment running. Keep customers confident.
Soniclean® is looking for a hands-on Biomedical Service Technician to join our team in Adelaide. You'll be the person clinics and facilities trust to keep their ultrasonic cleaning systems running safely, reliably, and to spec — from first installation through years of ongoing service.
If you're the kind of technician who can trace a fault through an electronic control system, explain it clearly to a customer who isn't technical, and drive to the next job with the right parts already in the van — we want to talk to you.
You are customer focused, take pride in getting things right, and enjoys being part of a small, supportive team.
What you'll do
- Install, commission, and service Soniclean® ultrasonic cleaning systems at customer sites across the region
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently
- Diagnose electronic and mechanical faults, and complete repairs and calibrations in line with technical standards and regulatory requirements
- Diagnosing and repairing plumbing faults can work on plumbing assemblies: solenoids, valves (but not a plumber)
- Conduct field service visits, document your work, and maintain accurate service records
- Give customers clear, practical guidance on how to operate and care for their equipment
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and support long-term product reliability
What you bring
- Minimum 5+ years' experience as an electronics Service Technician
- Strong maintenance and repair skills, ideally with electro‑mechanical or biomedical equipment
- Advanced troubleshooting ability across electronic control systems, sensors, and mechanical components
- Field service experience — on‑site diagnostics, installation, and commissioning in clinical or technical environments
- Transparent communication and customer service skills; comfortable managing expectations and training end users
- A certificate or diploma in electronics, biomedical engineering technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Confidence reading technical drawings, service manuals, and schematics
- A solid grasp of safety standards and regulatory requirements for medical devices and clinical equipment
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and comfort with basic computer applications for reporting
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the region
Why Soniclean®
You’ll be the face of a company with a strong reputation for quality and reliability — working on specialised equipment that healthcare providers depend on every day. This is a role with real variety, real autonomy, and real impact on the ground.
If this sounds like your kind of work, we'd love to hear from you.
